After speaking with three Columbus Grove residents that all work in the cafeteria for the Albany School District, community manager, Elizabeth Clark, suggested that Columbus Grove become the pick up site for local school children to pick up their lunches while they are out of school. These sack lunches, which also include breakfast and a snack, are available to all children ages 1 to 18 years old. On the first day, with less than 24 hours notice, 40 children arrived to pick up meals.
That number has quickly grown to at least 75 children per day. This meal delivery will continue through the end of the regular school year.
