The Lafayette Gardens team, in Lafayette, Colorado, distributed food boxes via drive-thru to residents on March 25th. Each family received:
- 1 Ham (Donated by United Methodist Youth)
- 2 Gallons of Milk
- 1 Dozen Eggs
- 1 lb. Sliced Turkey
- 3 lbs. Chicken Taco Meat
- Sour Cream
- 3 lbs. of Apples
- 5 lbs. of Potatoes
- 3 lbs. of Summer Squash
- 1 Box of Rice Krispies Treats
- 3 Cans of Tuna
- 18 oz. Jar of Peanut Butter
The next distribution is set for the end of April; the food box will include meats for Cinco De Mayo (Donated by United Methodist Youth) and special fresh produce along with the rest from the list above.
We will also have representatives on hand from Lafayette Public Library (signing residents up for Library cards and online access), Project Empowerment (providing community youth with free summer camps and programs), Communities Who Care Boulder County (registering and administering COVID Vaccines) and Boulder County HHS and Boulder County Food Share (helping resident apply for food stamps/SNAP).
